Ingredients
- 1 C Butter or Margarine
- 1 C Confectioners Sugar
- 2 C Flour
- 1 Tbsp Vanilla
- 1 C Pecans, finely chopped
Filling
- 1/2 C Butter or Margarine
- 1 C Brown Sugar
- 1 Dash Salt
- 1/2 C Evaporated Milk
- 2 C Powdered Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla

Instructions
- Cream all ingredients together.
- Form into 1" balls
- Place on ungreased cookie sheet and make a thumbprint in each.
- Bake at 375 for 13 - 17 minutes - do not brown.
- Cool on racks
- Make Filling
- Melt butter in saucepan
- Add brown sugar and salt
- Bring to a boil for 2 minutes stirring constantly
- Add milk and bring to a boil again for 2 min temp should reach 232 degrees
- Remove from heat and cool to luke warm.
- Stir in powdered sugar and vanilla
- Beat with a wooden spoon until smooth.
- Fill each thumbprint with about 1/2 tsp of filling.
