Ingredients
Cake
- 1 C Butter
- 2 C Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Vanilla
- 2 Tbsp Grated Orange Rind
- 5 Eggs
- 3 C Flour
- 1 Tbsp Baking Powder
- 1 Pinch Salt
- 3/4 C Milk
Sauce
- 1/2 C Butter
- 2/3 C Sugar
- 1/3 C Orange Juice

Instructions
- Cream butter and sugar together
- Add vanilla and orange rind
- Beat in eggs, one at a time
- Sift together flour, salt and baking powder
- Add flour mixture alternately with milk
- Spoon into greased & floured 10" tube pan
- Bake cake mixture for one hour at 350 degrees
- Make sauce while cake bakes
- Combining all in saucepan and cooking until sugar dissolves.
- Cool in pan on rack for 2 minutes
- Pour hot sauce evenly over cake while cake is still hot
- Allow cake to cool in pan thoroughly before serving.
