French Orange Cake

Grated Orange Rind

Baking Powder

Pinch

Milk
Sauce
1/2
C
Butter
2/3
C
Sugar
1/3
C
Orange Juice
Instructions
Cream butter and sugar together
Add vanilla and orange rind
Beat in eggs, one at a time
Sift together flour, salt and baking powder
Add flour mixture alternately with milk
Spoon into greased & floured 10" tube pan
Bake cake mixture for one hour at 350 degrees
Make sauce while cake bakes
Combining all in saucepan and cooking until sugar dissolves.
Cool in pan on rack for 2 minutes
Pour hot sauce evenly over cake while cake is still hot
Allow cake to cool in pan thoroughly before serving.
