Walnut Fingers

Ingredients
  • 8oz Flour
  • 3oz Powdered Sugar
  • 4oz Margarine
  • 2 Egg Yolks (reserve whites)
  • 2 Egg Whites (beaten)
  • 2oz Chopped Walnuts
  • 2oz Chocolate bars
  • 1Castor (small condiment jar) fine sugar
Instructions
  1. Knead together first four items
  2. Put dough into 8" square pan and push to line the bottom.
  3. Put beaten egg whites in small pan with walnuts, chocolate and sugar, heat slowly but do not boil.
  4. Spread over pastry and bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 45 minutes.
