Rice Almondine
Serves 6
Ingredients
  • 1 Med Onion, chopped
  • 2tsp Margarine
  • 1 1/4C Chicken Broth
  • 1Tbsp Lemon Juice
  • 1/2tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 1/2C Instant Brown Rice
  • 1C Frozen Cut Green Beans, thawed
  • 2Tbsp Toasted Sliced Almonds
  • 1/2tsp Dill Weed
Instructions
  1. Cook onion in butter until tender
  2. Add broth, lemon juice and garlic powder
  3. Bring to a boil
  4. Stir in rice
  5. Return to a broil
  6. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes
  7. Remove from heat
  8. Stir in green beans, almonds and dill
  9. Cover and let stand 5 minutes
