Oatmeal Candy Canes
Nice addition to any holiday cookie tray This is one of those recipes that you have that was hand written and given after a request.
Ingredients
  • 1C Margarine
  • 2tsp Vanilla
  • 1 1/2C Confectioners Sugar
  • 2Tbsp Water
  • 2 1/2C Flour
  • 1/2tsp Salt
  • 1 1/2C Rolled Oats
Instructions
  1. Mix butter and sugar until creamy
  2. Add salt, water, vanilla, flour and oats
  3. Batter will be stiff
  4. Roll out, cut into strips or use cookie cutter to shape into candy canes
  5. Bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 325 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
  6. Frost with thin frosting of white and then add stripes of red frosting.
