No Bake Fudge Clusters

Ingredients
  • 1/3C Cocoa
  • 1 1/2C Sugar
  • 1/2tsp Salt
  • 1/2C Milk
  • 1/4C light corn syrup
  • 1/4C Butter or Margarine
  • 1tsp Vanilla
  • 2C Quick or Old Fashioned Oatmeal
  • 11C Flaked or Shredded Coconut
Instructions
  1. Combine cocoa, sugar and salt in med sized saucepan
  2. Cook over medium heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved
  3. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, to soft ball stage 236° or until syrup dropped into cold water forms a soft ball.
  4. Remove from heat
  5. Add butter and vanilla, stir until butter is melted.
  6. Stir in oats and coconut
  7. Drop by spoonfuls onto wax paper
  8. Chill
Recipe Notes

Options -

Substitute 1 C chopped nuts for coconut.

Substitute 1/4 C peanut butter and 1 C chopped nuts for coconut.

Substitute 3/4 C salted peanuts for coconut. Chill, form into balls. Roll each ball in confectioner's sugar.
