Green Beans with Tomato Sauce
From the Manassas Gourmet Club Night of Discovery Dinner celebrating Columbus Day. 4 servings
Ingredients
  • 1 Med Onion Chopped
  • 1 Clove Garlic, chopped
  • 2Tbsp Olive Oil
  • 1 1/2lbs Green Beans, cut into 3" pieces
  • 3 med Tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/4C Snipped Parsley
  • 1tsp Sugar
  • 1/2tsp Dried Basil Leaves
  • 1tsp Salt
  • 1/8tsp Pepper
Instructions
  1. Cook and stir onion and garlic in oil until onion is tender
  2. Add remaining ingredients
  3. Cover and simmer over low heat until beans are tender 15 to 20 minutes
