Fried Ice Cream
From the Manassas Gourmet Club Dinner"South of the Border" 8 Servings
Ingredients
  • 1/2gal French Vanilla Ice Cream
  • 4-5C Corn Flakes, coarsely chopped
  • 1 Tbsp Ground Cinnamon
  • 1tsp Ground Cinnamon
  • Vegetable Oil
  • Honey
  • Sweetened Whipped Cream
  • Cinnamon Sugar Tortillas
Instructions
  1. Place 8 scoops of ice cream on a baking sheet
  2. Freeze ice cream balls at least 1 hour or until firm
  3. Combine corn flakes and cinnamon in a shallow dish
  4. Roll each ice cream ball in corn flake mixture
  5. Place coated balls on baking sheet
  6. Cover and freeze several hours or until very firm
  7. Fry ice cream balls in deep hot oil 375 degrees or until golden brown
  8. Drain on paper towels and serve immediately with honey, sweetened whipped cream and Cinnamon- Sugar Tortillas.
