Dream Bars

Ingredients
Bottom
  • 1/2C Butter
  • 1/2C Firmly Packed Brown Sugar
  • 1C sifted flour
  • 1Dash Salt
Topping
  • 1C Firmly Packed Brown Sugar
  • 2Tbsp Flour
  • 1Dash Salt
  • 1/2C Chopped nuts
  • 1C Coconut, shredded
  • 1tsp Vanilla
Instructions
To prepare bottom
  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees
  2. Work butter until smooth
  3. Work in brown sugar
  4. Sift in flour and salt
  5. Pat into bottom of 9" square pan
  6. Bake 10 minutes
To prepare topping
  1. Beat eggs until frothy
  2. Mix in brown sugar, flour and salt
  3. Mix until smooth
  4. Add nuts, coconut and vanilla
Then
  1. Turn oven temp up to 425 degrees
  2. Spread egg mixture over partially baked crust
  3. Bake 15 - 18 minutes
  4. Cool before serving
