Chickpea Pate
Middle eastern spread, delicious with crackers, wedges of pita bread or fresh vegetable slices. Also makes a delicious sandwich spread.
Ingredients

Chickpeas
, cooked

cloves
Garlic
, minced

cup
Tahini
(sesame seed butter)

Lemon Juice

tsp
Salt

Parsley
, finely chopped

tsp
Ground Cumin
1/2
tsp
Paprika
Instructions
Drain chickpeas, reserving liquid
Mash the chickpeas
Add remaining ingredients and mix well using blender or food processor
Should be creamy and spreadable
If it is too dry, add some of the reserved liquid to achieve desired consistency
