Scotch Eggs
From the Manassas Gourmet Club Dinner "An English Holiday" Can also be used for breakfast.
Ingredients
  • 1lb Bulk Pork Sausage
  • 6 Hard Boiled Eggs, peeled
  • 2 Eggs, beaten
  • 1cup Italian Seasoned Bread Crumbs
  • Vegetable Oil
Instructions
  1. Divide sausage into 6 portions
  2. Press each portion of sausage around a hard cooked egg
  3. Dip each sausage coated egg in beaten egg
  4. Roll the egg in bread crumbs
  5. Deep fry in hot vegetable oil (375 degrees) for 7 to 9 minutes until sausage is done
  6. Drain well and let cool to room temperature
  7. Cut eggs in half and serve.
