Alice's Cheesecake
Alice Goheen was well known for her Cheesecake
Ingredients
  • 1lb Cream Cheese
  • 1lb Ricotta Cheese
  • 1 1/2C Sugar
  • 3Tbsp Cornstarch
  • 4 Eggs
  • 3Tbsp Flour
  • 1tsp Vanilla
  • 1pt Sour Cream
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/4lb Butter, melted
Instructions
  1. Add cheeses, sugar and eggs in large bowl and beat well
  2. Add vanilla and lemon juice, beat well again
  3. Add melted butter and beat well
  4. Fold in sour cream
  5. Pour into buttered cheesecake pan
  6. Bake at 350 degrees at least 1 1.2 hours until firm
  7. Test as you would custard
  8. If cake gets higher than sides of the pan, ease back in with spatula
  9. Cool and then refrigerate.
